WHAT IS KITCHEN WORKS

KitchenWorks is a free professional job training program. This program is offered once per quarter over the course of one week. The intensive, full time program teaches knife skills, ordering and other basic culinary skills to be prepare students to work in any professional kitchen. Kitchen Works is taught by local professional Chefs who volunteer their time to educate quality, professional culinary industry staff and address an underlying cause of food insecurity: lack of employment and the necessary skills to secure and maintain a job.

WHO IS KITCHEN WORKS FOR

Kitchen Works is a program for teens and adults who are interested in becoming a professional in the food service industry . Upon completion of the program students are awarded a Serve Safe Certification to work in any professional kitchen and set of Chef’s knives. 

HOW DO I JOIN THE PROGRAM?

The next session of KitchenWorks is currently on hold, due to the safety and health of the students and volunteer staff. If you are interested in participating in the program, please email our Program Coordinator to be notified when we will begin accepting applications for the next session.
