WHAT IS JUST BASICS?

Just Basics helps households provide for basic needs that are often left out of federally funded programs including diapers, wipes, adult incontinence, formula, menstrual products, dental care products, and more. Just Basics is 1 of 3 programs in the state of Kansas in the National Diaper Bank Network and the only program in Kansas in the Alliance for Period Supplies.

We're also excited to be collaborating with HappyBottoms, the Diaper Bank of Kansas City. This program includes:

  • Children served under Just Basics: Up to age 4

  • Diaper/Pull-Up Allocation: 50 diapers or 30 pull-ups per child, per month

  • One set of wipes per household

Diapers are available once per month, per child in the household.

Basic needs items are available, as we have them, directly on the shelves in our pantry.

If you are interested in receiving a one-time reusable menstrual cup, please watch the following instruction and care video and complete the form linked below:

HOW DO I JOIN THE PROGRAM?

To access diapers through this program, here's what you need to do:

  1. Sign up each individual child to the Happy Bottoms database.

  2. You can enroll for the program on the Happy Bottoms website (see enrollment form below).

  3. Approvals are sent via email on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays.

During your next visit, alert the check-in attendant of your diaper needs and you will receive your supplemental supply of diapers when checking-out.

All other basic needs are available on the pantry shelves for your shopping convenience.

If you represent an agency that would like to receive diaper or menstrual products for your organization, please reach out to our Community Access Manager.
