OUR BOARD

The board of directors is the governing body of a nonprofit. Individuals who sit on the board are responsible for overseeing the organization’s activities. Board members meet monthly to discuss and vote on the affairs of the organization. Board members are the fiduciaries who steer the organization towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies, as well as by making sure the nonprofit has adequate resources to advance its mission. Board members are encouraged to participate in sub committees that play to the strength and talents of each board member. Board terms are 3 year terms with an opportunity to renew once after three years.

Applications received by December 1st are considered for invitation to join the board in January of the following year. Board appointment positions are voted on in December. Members begin as non voting members in December and full members in January.
